OpenCon seeks to bring together students and early career academic professionals from around the world who want to advance Open Access, Open Education, and Open Data. It takes place in Washington DC this year.
It’s a conference and platform for the next generation to learn about Open Access, Open Education, and Open Data, develop critical skills, and catalyze action toward a more open system for sharing the world’s information—from scholarly and scientific research, to educational materials, to digital research data. If you don’t yet know OpenCon, see the highlights of OpenCon 2015 here.
Attendance at OpenCon is by application only. If you’re interested, and also perhaps in one of the three dozen sponsored scholarships, apply here by 11 July 2016.
OpenCon is organized by SPARC, the Right to Research Coalition, and an Organizing Committee of students and early career researchers from around the world.
