Election to SPARC Europe Board

At the SPARC Europe Members meeting, on the 26th of June in Tartu, Estonia, we announced that four places are up for election to the Board of SPARC Europe. The Board consists of seven members minimum and eleven members maximum.
The current Board Members are:

  2. Bas Savenije (appointed by LIBER)
  3. Heather Joseph (appointed by SPARC US)
  4. Emilija Banionyte
  5. Jean-François Lutz
  6. Sylvia van Peteghem
  7. Caroline Sutton
  8. Paola Gargiulo (wishes to stand down in 2012) – seat up for nomination
  9. Norbert Lossau (wishes to stand down in 2012) – seat up for nomination
  10. Vacant seat – seat up for nomination
  11. Vacant seat – seat up for nomination
Would you be interested in advancing Scholarly Communication and Open Access in Europe through SPARC Europe, to be involved in the strategy and to steer the organisation?
If yes, and you wish to nominate yourself, please send a short CV and cover letter about your motivations to become a Board Member of SPARC Europe and how you can contribute to SPARC Europe’s activities. If you intend to nominate a colleague, please inform us as soon as possible.
Board Members serve a 3 year term with an option of an additional 3 year term.
