‘Innovative Open Access Publishing Initiatives – and How Libraries/Library Consortia could Support such Initiatives’
The session will include presentations of a number of new open access publishing initiatives (monographs and journals) based on a new business model which combines library/library consortia ‘subscription’ and affordable publication funding (upfront subsidy by research funder(s) and/or article publication charges (APC)). The (library) community wants to see new affordable publishing initiatives and the session will explore and discuss how such initiatives could be supported by academic libraries and their consortia.
