Librarians in Action for Open Education: Strategy just out

31st May 2021News, Open Education

The European Network of Open Education Librarians ((ENOEL) is helping implement the UNESCO Open Educational Resources (OER) Recommendation as ambassadors and facilitators of Open Education. How it plans to support it is set out in its Strategic Plan for 2021-2023. The document is informed by the UNESCO Recommendation on OER  and sees librarians as one of the key stakeholders involved in its implementation at the European level. Academic librarians are key trusted partners in making Europe’s educational resources and practices open and reusable. The European Network of Open Education Librarians’ news strategy will help increase awareness around OE, stimulate OE culture, and provide more support to implement Open Education in Higher Education institutions in various local contexts.
